First 24 Hours

During the first day after your appointment, the builder gel is still reaching its full strength. I always ask my clients to be extra gentle during this window to ensure your nails settle perfectly.

  • Avoid extreme heat like very hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms
  • Wear rubber gloves for washing up or cleaning with harsh products
  • Do not pick, peel, or poke at the gel while it’s fresh
  • Protect your nails from staining agents like turmeric or hair dye
  • Try not to use your nails as tools to open parcels or cans

Ongoing Care

  • I recommend applying cuticle oil every single day to keep both the product and your natural nail flexible and hydrated.
  • Please treat your nails like jewels, not tools - avoid using them to open cans, packages, or scrape surfaces.
  • Always wear rubber gloves when cleaning, washing up, or gardening to protect your builder gel from harsh chemicals and water exposure.
  • Try to keep your nails at a manageable length for your lifestyle to prevent accidental snags or breakage.
  • If you use heavy sunscreens or tanning products, I suggest washing your hands after application to prevent any potential lifting.
  • Use a soft nail brush to clean underneath your nails rather than sharp tools, which can damage the delicate seal under the nail.

Please Avoid

  • Picking or peeling off your product (this is the quickest way to damage your natural nails!).
  • Using your nails as tools to scrape or open things.
  • Biting your nails or the surrounding skin.
  • Exposure to strong chemicals, cleaning products, or tan without wearing gloves.
  • Picking at any lifting - if you notice this, please message me so I can help.

When to Book Infills

To keep your natural nails healthy and your set looking its best, I recommend booking your infills every 2 to 3 weeks. Leaving it longer can put too much stress on your nail beds as the product grows out, which can lead to lifting or breakage. My diary fills up quickly, so please message me in advance so we can find a slot that works for you.

If Something Isn’t Right

I want your nails to stay healthy and looking their best. If you notice any lifting, accidental breakage, or if something just doesn’t feel right, please get in touch straight away. I truly care about your nail health, so just send me a quick message and I can take a look for you.
